TAE Participates in Science-Based Target Project to Advance toward Net Zero

Thai Agro Energy Public Company Limited (TAE) participated in the “Project to Promote Greenhouse Gas Emission Target Setting for the Industrial Sector toward Net Zero through the Science-Based Target Approach (Phase 3)”, an initiative of the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization), or TGO, in collaboration with the Center of Excellence for Eco-Energy, Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University. The project aims to support industrial organizations in systematically setting greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets and developing pathways toward achieving Net Zero.

The project encourages participating organizations to establish GHG emission reduction targets and develop appropriate action plans and measures toward Net Zero in accordance with TGO guidelines. A total of 54 organizations applied to participate in the project, of which 16 organizations were selected as pilot organizations.
Throughout the project, TAE participated in seminars and training sessions and received technical support and consultation to enhance its approach to setting GHG reduction targets and developing a Net Zero Pathway. Key areas included the selection of a Base Year, definition of the Target Boundary, and consideration of GHG emissions across Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3, providing a structured framework for developing practical GHG reduction plans.

On 18 August 2026, a seminar was held at TIJ Common Ground, Thailand Institute of Justice (Public Organization) to present the project’s outcomes and achievements, as well as to gather feedback on the revised requirements and guidelines for Net Zero GHG Emissions certification.

TAE’s participation in this project reflects the Company’s commitment to strengthening its knowledge and capabilities in climate change and GHG management. The knowledge and experience gained from the project will support TAE in further developing appropriate GHG emission reduction targets and action plans, while contributing to sustainable business operations and the transition toward a low-carbon society.
